Dear Colleagues,
It is a privilege and an honour to serve as the President of the Neurological Surgeons Society of India (NSSI). NSSI is a vibrant academic body that has become a strong unifying voice for neurosurgeons throughout the country.
Over the past 14 years, NSSI has grown steadily by virtue of its commitment to education, collaboration, and professional development. It has conducted national conferences, cadaveric dissection courses, live operative workshops, and focused teaching programmes in various regions. We have endeavoured to enrich the knowledge and skills of young neurosurgeons and residents—many of whom are the future leaders of our specialty.
I feel proud and enthused to work with an energetic and visionary executive committee whose tireless efforts continue to strengthen and expand our society’s activities. The guidance and mentorship of our founding presidents remain invaluable in shaping our journey. One of our key initiatives is partnership with Omnicuris health private limited for continuous medical education. This will further help in improving the knowledge and skill of young neurosurgeons and residents. We are also taking initiative in redesigning our website and making it interactive.
Our official journal, the Indian Journal of Neurosciences (IJNS), continues to grow in stature. It is currently indexed in DOAJ, ESCI, Embase, EBSCO, and ProQuest, and we are actively working toward achieving PubMed indexing—a milestone that will further elevate its global reach and impact.
